Interestingly, Arpita’s journey to running a Trust and a Design Hub had quite a different start. Circumstances had forced her to enter the demanding world of business. At the tender age of 12, Arpita took on the responsibility of becoming an individualistic, mature and a goal-oriented professional.
Arpita found herself donning the mantle of business, when her father passed away. She helped her mother run the family’s shoe-lamination industry, ShriSai Enterprises, in Faridabad on the outskirts of Delhi, while pursuing her education at the same time. Arpita was just 18 when she married Raj Kumar, and she went on to join him as a director in his company Janvi Enterprises, which is a foam lamination factory. In 1998, the couple launched Mona Knitting, outfitted with a German unit featuring 18 knitting machines. Arpita also decided to get into hospitality services, and launched Janvi Motels in 2005, which is primarily used for hosting wedding, parties and conferences. In 2011, she further launched a dyeing unit, Fine Dyeing, in Barhi Textile Park, Haryana, so that the entire cycle of manufacturing, dyeing and laminating shoe cloth became part of her industry’s repertoire.
Arpita has to her credit not just the profound experience she has gained in all the years of business that she has been actively involved in, but also the pleasure of tasting glamour first-hand. She was selected in a model hunt a few years ago, and that’s when her passion for glamour bore fruit. She has now been modeling for the past five years and has been associated with high-end brands; she has even been featured on magazine covers. She believes in putting her best into everything and follows the motto that success can only be gained with hard work and perseverance.
After an overwhelming experience of over two decades in the fields of footwear manufacturing, real estate and CSR projects, Arpita felt the need to accessorize her projects with a luxury product par excellence. And thus, Creative Nest Media Pvt Ltd was born.
Arpita is the brain behind the luxury magazine Atelier, which specializes in fashion and lifestyle underscored with luxury. She conceived the brand in 2010 with the intent to offer something unique and unprecedented in the genre of media and print publications. She dedicated almost a year to market research on the industry before launching Atelier on May 1, 2011. Atelier denotes an artist’s studio or workshop, and the concept of naming the magazine Atelier was to ‘create fashion’ and define the overall genre of luxury, lifestyle, and fashion through the magazine.
She may maintain a low profile when she is not attending any page 3 party, but when it comes to supporting any social cause anywhere in country; she takes it up on a war-footing.
Under the” MUSKAAN K.K. MEMORIAL TRUST” , she has initiated the positive life teaching classes in Government and private school and ladies counseling classes in slum areas for better upbringing of upcoming generation. Ms Arpita’s aim to serve to society as a founder of Muskaan however her main focus is on Health and Education sector.

“I think there are so many issues in our country that need to be addressed and if we can help a cause with anything, then it’s a small way of contributing to society. Also such awareness campaigns go a long way in making people more responsible for their action” says Ms. Arpita
